Top 5 Best Electric Skateboards in 2022 under $400 Budget

Have you ever thought about having your first electric skateboard?

If the answer is yes, then have you ever been bothered by choosing one to buy among many kinds of products as a beginner?

Have you ever been surprised at the big gap in their prices?

The cheapest one may cost you around $200.The average e-board cost ranges from around $400-$1,500. Many premium boards can run you over $2,000. What is the biggest difference between them? Does it mean that the price is totally relative to quality? How could I make a good compromise between price and quality? I know you may have the same questions.

Here are my thoughts

Firstly, lower-priced boards are not worse in performance and quality. But believe me, don't give the eskateboard under $200 a chance. otherwise, you will get yourself some problems. Here are also some cheaper electric skateboards under $400 with good quality. I will show you below.

Secondly, as the market and technology mature, those eskateboards are already able to meet your demands as beginners. On the contrary, some expensive eskteboards need an experienced rider.

The last but also important point is that we can not tell whether it is impulse buys or we are not sure whether we have enough interest in electric skateboards. it is a rational decision to consider a relatively inexpensive entry-level electric skateboard.

So we suggest beginners buy their first electric skateboard at an inexpensive price with good quality.

For now, let’s get to my detailed review of under $400 Top 5 Best electric skateboards!

It’s so tiny you think this thing is made specifically for little kids. But this minuscule board which only weighs 15 pounds has a maximum weight capacity of 280 pounds, meaning even the heaviest of humans and adults can ride it!  It is the strongest board on this list. Top 5 Best Electric Skateboards in 2022 under $400 Budget

The Maxfind Max One is a good electric skateboard for kids. If I buy my niece a birthday gift or a Christmas gift, it is an excellent choice.

When it comes to kid electric skateboards, safety is always the first thing to think about. The Maxfind Max One does a good job at this point. It has very manageable acceleration and top speed for kids that will prevent them from getting out of control. But at the same time, the speed is fast enough to enjoy skating.

The max load of it is 65kg. Being under that weight will not affect the performance of the Max One. But if you are not, I suggest you get another electric skateboard.

It’s a perfect gift for a child to spend their time after school. Also, they could hang out with their friend, or establish a new hobby to enrich their life.

Top 5 Best Electric Skateboards in 2022 under $400 Budget

From the looks to the specs,  Verreal Mini is a quite boing eskateboard, there’s nothing special to surprise us. But, yeah. Here is always a "but". But it has some reasons to be here. The board is surprisingly decent only worth $339!

Verreal Mini still sports a decent pair of 350W motors which is hard to meet at this price of eskateboard. In other same price boards, you will get a single-hub underpowered toy.

For $300, we mostly see boards that use outdated LingYi ESC with jerky speed control; instead, the Verreal Mini uses Hobbywing ESC which provides silky-smooth speed control.

Hope you can find your own electric skateboard soon.

Some tips for an inexperienced rider.

        1. Ask someone to help you at the beginning until you can ride it on your own without falling. We can find a lot of skateboarding instructional videos on the Internet such as YouTube. Follow skateboard bloggers and learn basic skills.
        2. Wear safety gear. It might be inevitable to have a stumble or two, especially when it’s your first time, but the safety gear will lessen the damage.
        3. Find a safe place. You may skate inside your house or outside on the street, but some dangers might happen. You can knock off furniture, or distract some cars on the street. It is better to find a safe place to practice like a local park or a boardwalk that has some soft surfaces or grounds.
        4. Skate when the weather is nice, and the ground is dry. Slippery surfaces can be very dangerous. Also, water can do some damage or rust to your longboard’s hardware and affect its performance.
